Wes co-founded Tahseen Consulting, one of the Arab Region’s fastest growing public sector strategy and government relations firms that bridges management consulting, public affairs, and international development. He has significant delivery expertise at the intersection of technology, government, and public policy. Schwalje has led and been a part of the delivery team on more than 100 client engagements in the Middle East and North Africa to address the region’s most challenging development and business issues involving key areas of policy, strategy, and the implementation of change. He also leads Tahseen Consulting’s research on technology policy, government innovation, and knowledge-based development.
Since cofounding Tahseen Consulting, Walid has led more than 100 client projects for national and local governments, technology companies, and multilateral organizations. He serves clients in the public, social, and private sectors to solve their most pressing strategic challenges, especially those related to economic development, public policy, and technology development. Prior to cofounding Tahseen Consulting, Walid was an advisor to the Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates and was also a key member of the founding team of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. He is deeply involved in Tahseen Consulting’s research on public policy, innovation and socioeconomic reform and serves on the boards of a number of organizations that focus on social and economic development in the MENA region.
