Ministry of Communications

Government body overseeing telecommunications, transportation and postal services in Kuwait. 

Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA)

Responsible for monitoring and protecting the interests of users and service providers and regulating telecommunication services in Kuwait.

Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT)

Supports information technology in Kuwait through network models, talent support, and a dedicated IT platform.

Oversees electronic data and sets penalties for unlawful access to computers, processing systems, or information networks.

Online Content Laws

Licenses and regulates web-based professional media including electronic publishing, websites, blogs and social media sites. 

Establishes a Commission for Mass Communications and IT and permits the government to block content, deny access to the Internet, and revoke licenses.
